Safety & Supervision

At Blossom & Thrive, your child’s safety is our highest priority. We are committed to providing a secure, welcoming environment where all children, families, and staff feel safe, supported, and respected. These guidelines help us ensure a smooth, predictable experience for everyone who walks through our doors.

Supervision of Children
    •    Children must be under adult supervision at all times when not actively participating in a therapy session or structured playroom activity.
    •    Caregivers are responsible for supervising siblings and other children accompanying them to the clinic, including while in the waiting area.
    •    Children may not be left unattended in hallways, bathrooms, play spaces, or parked vehicles for any reason.

Therapy Sessions
    •    During one-on-one therapy sessions, children are in the care of a licensed therapist.
    •    At the end of each session, a parent or designated caregiver must be on-site and available for pickup.
    •    Please notify us ahead of time if someone other than the child’s usual caregiver will be dropping off or picking up.

Playroom & Group Services
    •    The playroom is designed to support inclusive, enriching play. Depending on the activity type (e.g., open play, private event, or group class), caregiver supervision may or may not be required. Guidelines for supervision will be clearly communicated for each service.
    •    All caregivers must complete a signed Playroom Waiver & Safety Agreement before participating in any play-based services.

Building Conduct & Expectations
    •    Running, shouting, or disruptive behavior in shared areas (including hallways and waiting rooms) is discouraged to maintain a calm, respectful environment.
    •    Physical aggression, unsafe behavior, or repeated non-compliance with staff direction may result in early termination of the session or a temporary pause in services. We will work closely with families to identify supportive strategies if safety becomes a concern.

Emergency Procedures
    •    Our team is trained in emergency response procedures, including CPR and First Aid. Emergency exits and safety supplies are clearly marked throughout the clinic.
    •    In the event of an emergency, we will contact caregivers immediately and follow our established safety protocols.
